Category Restrictions
Utah producers can take CE courses in any line of authority.
Special Training
LONG-TERM CARE TRAINING
Before a producer can sell or solicit Long-Term Care Insurance, they must complete a state approved, 3-hour Long-Term Care Training course. After completing the initial 3-hour Long-Term Care Training Requirement, producers who continue to sell LTC insurance products must complete 3 hours of Long-Term Care CE every license period thereafter. Producers who have taken longer courses for other states, such as the 8-hour course based on NAIC content, will be able to use this training to meet Utah's requirements.
ANNUITY BEST INTEREST TRAINING
Utah licensed producers must complete a one-time state approved Annuity Suitability Best Interest Standard course before selling, soliciting or negotiating any annuity products. The EducUp Annuity Suitability and Best Interest course satisfies this requirement.
FLOOD INSURANCE TRAINING
Utah licensed producers who sell flood insurance are required to take a one-time 3- hour course approved for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
