The license expiration date is the last day of the producer’s birth month every 2 years. A maximum of 12 excess credit hours (taken during the second half of the license term) can be carried forward into the next licensing period. Producers may not take a course more than once in a 2-year licensing term. NOTE: Be sure to complete all of your CE credit hours BEFORE submitting your license renewal application. ### Category Restrictions Students may take an approved course in any line of authority to obtain their CE credits, but it is recommended that they take courses pertaining to their license type. ### Special Training #### FLOOD INSURANCE TRAINING North Dakota licensed producers who sell National Flood Insurance Policies are required to take a one-time 3-hour course on Flood Insurance. #### ANNUITY BEST INTEREST TRAINING North Dakota licensed producers must complete a state approved one-time 4-hour Annuity Suitability Best Interest Standard course before selling, soliciting or negotiating any annuity products. The EducUp Annuity Suitability Best Interest Standard course satisfies this requirement. #### LONG-TERM CARE TRAINING Before a producer can sell or solicit Long-Term Care Insurance, they must complete a state approved, one-time 8-hour Long-Term Care Training course. Producers must then complete a 4-hour ongoing training requirement every 2 years following the initial completion of the 8-hour training. ### Course Presentation - CERTIFICATE EXAM – No certificate exam is required to generate a certificate. - STUDY BY TOPIC QUIZZES – EducUp requires that all Study by Topic quizzes be passed with at least a score of 70%. - ATTESTATION – The licensee is required to complete the post-course attestation. ### Certificates of Completion Your certificate of completion will be processed within two (2) business days and can be downloaded/printed from the "View Certificate(s)" link in the course launch portal. Completions are normally reported to the state entities within two (2) business days of the certificate having been issued. There is a state charge of $1.00 per credit hour to report your completion.
